Chen Cheng-po composed a series of watercolor sketches of female nudes during his stay in Shanghai. In this work, there is a dog curling up to the lower left of the woman, showing contrast between the animal's fur and woman’s smooth skin. In the upper right corner of the painting is written "1932.1. Cheng-po painted. C.T.P."
